My name is Blair Tanenbaum, and I am a multi-hyphenate producer with 14+ years of experience in the film and TV industry.

My work focuses on storytelling in the documentary, adventure, and comedy spaces.

I have developed and produced projects as a supervising producer, story producer, and digital producer for companies like Discovery, Max, National Geographic, and Netflix. With over 80 hours of television at the senior and story producer levels, I have been a contributing member of Emmy-nominated and Emmy-winning teams for Outstanding Reality Programs, including Deadliest Catch, one of Discovery’s legacy series. I currently serve as a supervising story producer on the show.

Prior to that, I served as Head of Content at The Laugh Factory, where I grew the social brand with over 3 million followers across multiple platforms by developing three original series and standalone social clips. During my tenure, we added over 35,000 new YouTube subscribers and saw ticket sales increase by more than 10% month over month.

I love the puzzle of producing and the art of storytelling. Passionate about human-centric narratives, I seek out projects that uncover real and authentic stories.

From a young age, I was a story junkie devouring books, watching movies, and crafting “choose your own adventure” tales for my siblings (which often ended with them in trouble).

I originally pursued Pre-Med in undergrad until I realized life is too short to do something that doesn’t fire you up. After taking my first film class, I knew storytelling was my path. Film-making allows me to explore the intersection of art, culture, and history and bring stories to life in a way no other medium can.

Let’s connect and create something great together!
